We hope you had a wonderful holiday with loved ones. The week between Christmas and New Year’s Eve tends to be a lull for a lot of folks. Kids are still out of school, adults might be burning up the last of their vacation time. What do you do while you wait to ring in the New Year? Have you created any traditions for your family during this time? The Bennett Realty Group is back in the office today, with plenty of Things to Do before the year end and this weekend.
Most of the holiday light shows are ending after the 31st, so if you want one last chance to see them, this is it. After this month, the lights at Manito in Spokane, the Holiday Light Show in Coeur d’Alene and the 40 Days of Winter Glow in Liberty Lake will go out until next year. Here are a few other Things to Do:
Craft & Community
Saturday @ Post Falls Public Library: Take advantage of the library’s drop-in hours for some R&R. Enjoy a cup of joe, light refreshments, and the tranquil sound of colored pencils on paper. All ages welcome!
Friday @ Coeur d’Alene Public Libary: Do your teens enjoy playing League of Legends? Every Friday they can play with other teens, in real life, at the library. They have “League Unlocked” as well, which unlocks nearly all the champions and gives you a lot of free skins, while you play on the Library’s wi-fi. Teens can bring their own laptop, or borrow one from the library. Snacks are provided.
Saturday @ Post Falls American Legion: Bingo is back with new management, a new fun caller, new games, and progressive jackpots! Doors open at noon. Games start at 1 pm and go until 4 pm. This event is open to the public, but you must be 18 or older to play. The bigger the crowd, the bigger the payouts, so bring a friend with you! Minimum buy-in of $10.
Saturday @ The Spokane Arena: Watch the Spokane Chiefs hockey team take on the Tri-City Americans. Enjoy discounted concessions items at select concession stands all game long.
Saturday @ Mount Spokane Nordic Center: This free event is hosted by Fitness Fanatics and Spokane Nordic to offer a day of skiing to skiers of all ages and abilities, with mentors and rental gear available.
Through Dec. 31st @ Felts Field Airport: Come see history come to life through this collection of airworthy aircraft from 1927-57. The Felts Field presentation includes a DC-3 and P-51 Mustang. Admission is free for the balance of 2019. Open Tue-Sun from 10 am-4 pm.
Through Jan. 12th @ The MAC, Spokane: The art of the indigenous cultures of the Columbia River Plateau region reflects traditions borne of an ancient relationship with the natural world. Women of the Plateau tribes are keepers of culture, creating traditional art forms using time-perfected techniques passed on over generations. The exhibition celebrates the work of three Plateau women, alongside historic material from the museum’s permanent collection.
